Mira Musank
Founder, Fafafoom Studio + Rethink The Runway
Mira Musank (she/her) is an interdisciplinary textile upcycling artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area who transforms discarded textiles into one-of-a-kind garments, having diverted over 100 lbs. of waste from landfills annually since 2018. Her work, featured in publications like Cleanline (USA), Simply Sewing (UK), and Elle Canada, has been showcased at Climate Week events in SF, LA, and NYC. She’s the 2026 Artist in Residence for PHI Immersive: XR for Impact, in partnership with Agog. In 2025, she started Rethink the Runway, a community-activated platform that connects and amplifies advocates, designers, brands, and customers to accelerate the shift toward circular and regenerative apparel. Through education, storytelling, and grassroots initiatives, Rethink The Runway emphasizes resource stewardship, material repurposing, and conscious design.
